Information we collect

The personal information you are asked to provide, and the reasons why, will be made clear to you at the point we ask for it.

If you contact us directly or complete a referral, we may receive information such as your name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth, details of your circumstances, and any other information you choose to provide.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to: provide and operate our service; arrange and carry out your mediation; communicate with you, including for customer service and to provide updates relating to your referral; improve our website; and to detect and prevent fraud.

We only use your information to arrange your mediation and will not sell it to third parties.

When you complete a referral or send us a message, your details are passed securely to the case management system our team uses to manage enquiries, which is provided by our technology partner.

Log files

Family Mediation follows a standard procedure of using log files. These log visitors when they visit the website, as do most hosting services. The information collected may include IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider, date and time stamp, and referring/exit pages. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information and is used for analysing trends and administering the site.

We want you to be fully aware of your data protection rights. You are entitled to: the right to access; the right to rectification; the right to erasure; the right to restrict processing; the right to object to processing; and the right to data portability, each under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

Protecting children online is a priority for us. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in and monitor their children's online activity.

Family Mediation does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you believe your child has provided this kind of information on our website, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove it from our records.
